TORONTO, March 14, 2023— The Canadian Media Producers Association today welcomed Telefilm Canada’s new Executive Director and CEO, Julie Roy.

“We congratulate Julie Roy on her appointment and look forward to working with her as Canada’s screen-based industry enters an era of new challenges and exciting opportunities. With her decades and range of experience in Canada’s audiovisual sector, most recently as Director General and Programming Chief Officer at the National Film Board, she brings a deep understanding of the industry. As a former producer, we are confident that she will be a strong champion of Canadian producers and stories both at home and on the global stage,” said the CMPA’s President and CEO, Reynolds Mastin.

The CMPA also thanks Francesca Accinelli, who stepped in as interim Executive Director and CEO following Christa Dickenson’s departure in September.

“We thank Francesca for her incredible work and leadership overseeing Telefilm’s vision and strategic direction over the past several months to ensure continuity and a seamless transition,” added Mastin.
