TORONTO, June 11, 2023 —The CMPA today issued the following statement in response to the passing of Joy Rosen, CEO and Co-Founder of Portfolio Entertainment:

We were deeply saddened to learn about the passing of Joy Rosen.

Joy was a force in the Canadian media production industry, who was held in high regard by her domestic peers and on the global stage. Through her incredible drive, and unmatched flair at deal-making and relationship building, Joy founded and helped build Portfolio into an impressive company, highly respected in the international kids and animation sector.

We extend our deepest condolences to Joy’s family, friends and colleagues at Portfolio Entertainment. She will be missed.
