TORONTO, July 7, 2025 – The Canadian Media Producers Association today announced a delegation of 15 member producers who will travel to Ireland to foster partnership opportunities in Dublin and at the Galway Film Fleadh.

The delegation, coordinated in partnership with Screen Producers Ireland (SPI), Picture NL, and Innovation PEI, will begin in Dublin, where producers will explore financing opportunities, gain market insights, and build relationships with potential collaborators through a series of curated panels, one-on-one meetings, and networking events.

The week-long visit begins on July 7 with the Co-Producing the Future reception, where the CMPA, alongside the City of Toronto and Mayor Olivia Chow, and Ambassador Dennis King, Embassy of Canada to Ireland, in Dublin, will welcome delegates and officially kick off the week’s activities.

Producers will also travel to Galway, Ireland, to attend the Galway Film Fleadh, an international film festival in its 37th year. They will participate in festival programming, site visits, meetings with Irish production studios, buyers and distributors, as well as additional networking events, including a “Meet the Canadians” event.

“With its vibrant creative sector, our shared passion for storytelling and a co-production treaty that fosters collaboration, Ireland remains a strong and strategic partner for Canadian producers,” said Reynolds Mastin, President and CEO, CMPA. “We are thrilled to lead a delegation to Dublin and the Galway Film Fleadh, and look forward to learning from each other’s industries, building new relationships and exploring partnership opportunities that bring more Irish and Canadian stories to audiences around the world.”

Susan Kirby, CEO, Screen Producers Ireland, said, “We’re looking forward to welcoming our Canadian counterparts to Ireland for a week of industry connection, creativity, and collaboration. Our trip starts in Dublin, we then head west to Co. Limerick, and finally to the Galway Film Fleadh. This week is not only about sharing stories, but about building the foundations for future ones, together. The Canadian trip to Ireland marks an important milestone in a year of collaboration and relationship building with our CMPA partners and we’re excited to see meaningful partnerships develop and new co-production opportunities between the countries emerge.”

The visit to Ireland is the first coordinated by the CMPA since 2018 and the latest in a series of international delegations led by the CMPA to strengthen relationships and collaborations for Canadian producers at festivals and markets worldwide. Recent CMPA delegations have included the UK’s Content London, Germany’s Berlinale, France’s Series Mania and Australia’s Screen Forever.
