CMPA and IATSE Local 411 announce new craftservice and honeywagon agreement
New agreement establishes terms, rates and conditions for Ontario craftservice providers and honeywagon operators

TORONTO, December 6, 2024 — Today, the Canadian Media Producers Association and the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees, Moving Picture Technicians, Artists and Allied Crafts of the United States, its Territories and Canada (IATSE) Local 411 announced the successful conclusion of negotiations on a new craftservice and honeywagon agreement. The tentative deal establishes the terms, conditions and rates for craftservice providers and honeywagon operators engaged on productions in Ontario.
“We are pleased to have reached a mutually beneficial agreement that recognizes the vital role of IATSE Local 411 members in ensuring the smooth operation of productions in Ontario,” said Sean Porter, the CMPA’s Vice President of National Industrial Relations and Counsel. “Through effective collective bargaining, we have reached a fair agreement that helps maintain stability in Ontario’s media production sector, and I thank the individuals on both sides of the table for their commitment.”
“Local 411 is happy to have reached a tentative agreement that meaningfully addresses many of our members’ priorities,” said Anne Paynter, Business Agent, IATSE Local 411. “This agreement recognizes the important contributions that our members make on film and television productions in Ontario. We thank the CMPA for their commitment to reach a fair agreement that provides stability for our members and the production industry in Ontario, both domestic and foreign service.”
Details of the new agreement in principle will be presented to the CMPA Board of Directors, and IATSE Local 411 membership for ratification in the coming weeks. The current CMPA / IATSE Local 411 craftservice and honeywagon agreement expires on December 31, 2024.
