Alain Strati appointed Senior Vice-President, Industry, Policy and General Counsel at CMPA

TORONTO, May 9, 2022—The Canadian Media Producers Association today announced the appointment of Alain Strati as Senior Vice-President, Industry, Policy and General Counsel. In this role, Alain will oversee legal, industry, legislative, regulatory and public policy files for the organization.

“It’s a pivotal time in our industry as we look to government to modernize the Broadcasting Act. With Alain’s deep experience, and demonstrated commitment to collaboration he will be a huge asset to the CMPA, our members, and the independent production industry in this country,” said Reynolds Mastin, President and CEO, CMPA. “We are thrilled to have Alain join our team.”

Alain joins the CMPA with an impressive resume, having most recently held the position of Assistant General Counsel, Regulatory Affairs, at Bell, where he worked on a variety of files related to the Canadian broadcasting system. Prior to this, Alain was at Rogers, where he held positions as Vice President, Business & Regulatory Affairs and Vice President, OMNI, Specialty TV & Development.
