The Indiescreen TV Producer Award application

The deadline to apply is Friday, July 11, 2025 at noon (local)

The Indiescreen TV Producer Award is a recognition that highlights and celebrates the achievements of a Canadian independent media production company.

By honoring their contributions, the award not only acknowledges the hard work and creativity of the company but also emphasizes the importance of independent media in promoting unique storytelling. Through this recognition, we celebrate their dedication to excellence and their ongoing commitment to pushing the boundaries of creativity in the industry.

The prize for the award includes a $20,000 cash prize for the company and five (5) passes to Prime Time 2026

A jury consisting of three industry leaders will narrow down the applicant pool to five final nominees for deeper evaluation and consideration with a winner selected based on the application materials provided.

The awards jury spends a significant amount of time reviewing and deliberating on the answers to the questions posed in the application. It is recommended that applicants take care and provide detailed, thoughtful responses. Your effort in writing up your answers can influence the jury’s evaluation of your submission.

Nominated producers are encouraged to attend the awards in person, in Toronto, ON, on September 4, 2025. The CMPA will provide a travel stipend to the production company for one representative to attend if the representative is based outside of the Greater Toronto Area.
