FAME Week Africa – 2023

Up to 15 producers will be invited to join the CMPA delegation travelling to FAME Week Africa 2023 from September 1-6, not inclusive of travel days.

The event caters to industry professionals in the creative industries across Africa and internationally. Participating Canadian producers will have the opportunity to connect with local producers for the purposes of engaging in co-productions and to gather market intelligence on the African market.

This year Canada will be guest country at the event that will showcase the opportunities for collaboration between Africa and Canada.  In addition to participating at FAME Week, participating producers will have the opportunity to tour locations, facilities and access curated B2B meetings and networking events.

Financial assistance of up to $4,000 CDN or 50% of real costs (whichever amount is less) will be available to help offset a portion of travel, accommodation and conference registration expenses.

Members with a demonstrated interest in exploring the African market are encouraged to apply by the July 3, 2023 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT deadline. Producers creating all genres (scripted, factual, animation, etc.) and for all platforms (theatrical, television, streaming, interactive digital media) are welcome to apply.
