The European Film Market (EFM), an indispensable yearly event of international scope for the film industry, is the commercial component of the Berlinale. Its infrastructure is designed for buyers, sales agents, producers and distributors. The EFM hosts a variety of initiatives to promote collaboration and forge professional bonds.

Thanks to the financial support of its partners, Telefilm coordinates the Canada Pavilion, located in the Gropius-Bau, which offers a general area where members of the Canadian film industry can meet, and private spaces for Canadians who wish to be exhibitors under our umbrella. By becoming an exhibitor at the Canada Pavilion, you will benefit from a strong Canadian brand, be accommodated at a prime location and enjoy a wide range of services. Apply

The Berlinale Co-Production Market is a five-day event for about 600 international producers, sales agents, distributors as well as broadcasting and funding representatives active in the field of co-production. This forum is held during the Berlin International Film Festival (Berlinale – February 13-23, 2025) – one of the most important film festivals worldwide – and the opportunities for establishing contacts are excellent, as industry professionals from all over the world attend the festival. Apply

Perspective Canada at Berlin is the brand name of a group of market screenings reuniting a selection of Canadian features showcased at the European Film Market that runs parallel to the Berlinale. The showcase strives to increase the international promotion and exploitation of Canadian feature-length films and to spotlight Canadian companies, films, and talent to the 10,000 professionals from more than 110 countries accredited by the EFM. Apply

Applications for Telefilm Canada’s Visitor Program, Producers without Borders, at the Berlinale Co-Production Market are now open for producers who plan on being present in Berlin during the market. You must be representing a production company, be interested in international co-production (with no previous experience), and have a project ready for the 2025 Berlinale Co-Production Market. Apply

Lastly, Canadian industry professionals attending the European Film Market (EFM) and the Berlinale 2025 can now register to the Directory of Canadians at Berlin 2025. By registering, you will be part of Telefilm’s CANADA AT BERLIN 2025 promotional campaign and invited to Canadian activities organized on-site, if any. Apply
