OTTAWA, October 22, 2024 — The Canadian Media Producers Association’s Reynolds Mastin today welcomed the appointment of CBC/Radio-Canada’s incoming President and CEO, Marie-Philippe Bouchard.

“We congratulate Marie-Philippe Bouchard on her appointment as the new President and CEO of CBC/Radio-Canada.

For more than eighty years, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation has been a fixture in Canadian households, providing a platform for Canadians to tell our stories to one another and to the world.

The CBC has a proud history as a launching pad for Canadian talent, and as a leading investor in independent Canadian programming – particularly children’s programming.

We look forward to working with Ms. Bouchard to build on CBC’s proud legacy as a champion for Canadian culture.

I also want to take the opportunity to thank the CBC’s outgoing President and CEO, Catherine Tait, for her leadership and her steadfast belief in the importance of supporting Canadian stories throughout her tenure.”
