TORONTO, March 25, 2025 — The Canadian Media Producers Association today announced a delegation of eight documentary producers attending the Copenhagen International Documentary Festival (CPH:DOX) in Denmark this week.

The initiative aims to connect Canadian documentary producers with international partners and collaborators for co-production, funding and distribution opportunities. Canadian producers will join no less than 20 delegations of producers from around the world for curated programming, including roundtables, networking events and mentorship programs.

“Canada’s documentary producers are among the world’s best, with a rich tradition of telling impactful award-winning stories on screen,” said Reynolds Mastin, President and CEO of the CMPA.  “This initiative at CPH:DOX will support producers in strengthening ties with potential collaborators from around the world. This is particularly important in today’s global media landscape, where international partnerships are not only beneficial but often essential to getting projects produced and seen worldwide.”

Participating producers include:

  • Ell McEachern, 3Story Pictures
  • Richard Raghoo, Dada Ibis Media
  • Michael Grand, Grand Scheme
  • Merit Jensen Carr, Merit Motion Pictures
  • Walter Forsyth, Gorgeous Mistake Productions
  • Laura O’Grady, Snapshot Productions
  • Mel D’Souza, SILO Entertainment
  • Baljit Sangra, Viva Mantra

The CPH:DOX delegation is the latest in a series of international delegations led by the CMPA to strengthen relationships and collaborations for Canadian producers at festivals and markets around the world. Recent CMPA delegations have included the UK’s Content London, Germany’s Berlinale, France’s Series Mania, as well as an upcoming delegation to Australia’s Screen Forever.
