GRAND SCHEME is a film and television production company founded by Producer Michael Tanko Grand to focus on producing unique and entertaining premium documentary and scripted projects with BC and Canada’s most visionary creators. Grand Scheme has produced 3 feature documentary films to date. SATAN WANTS YOU (2023), directed by Sean Horlor and Steve J. Adams, which had its World Premiere at SXSW 2023. I'M JUST HERE FOR THE RIOT (2023), directed by Kathleen S. Jayme and Asia Youngman, which is having its World Premiere at Hot Docs 2023 and is an ESPN 30 for 30, and THE GRIZZLIE TRUTH (2022), directed by Kathleen S. Jayme, which won the VIFF 2022 Audience Award and is a Crave Original. GRAND SCHEME's first production was the cult hit documentary Finding Big Country, which premiered to sold out screenings at the VIFF in 2018 where it won the #MustSeeBC Award and the Audience Award, and went on to garner awards, and get licensed by Telus, ESPN, ABC, NBA TV, and Rogers Sportsnet.
