About us
Kybele Films Inc. is a Toronto-based independent production company with a diverse slate of scripted tv series and feature films for both the domestic and international marketplace. The company was established by award-winning director, writer, and producer Sibel Guvenc in 2020. We believe in the magic of authentic and imaginative stories that bring people together and make the world a better place. We are committed to entertaining worldwide audiences with intelligent, inspirational, and aesthetically unique content in different genres that honour human dignity, equality, and diversity. We focus on delivering extraordinary content with purpose, a unique artistic voice, and high production quality. Kybele Films' first feature film project LOYA received Telefilm development funding and production funding and got into many prestigious programs such as the Whistler film festival Producers Lab, JETS coproduction market at Berlinale and Netflix Canadian pitch day being shortlisted into100 out of 10,000 original independent features. Another exciting project in development is Volt Town, a comedy series for children (ages 5-10) exploring emerging technology trends and environmental issues through the adventures of four close friends living in the neighbourhood of Volt Town. The series is created by Sibel Guvenc based on the children's books; Volt Town Tech Bites and Volt Town Good Wits written by Murat Guvenc.
