About us
Jackleg Films Inc is a film and media production company based in Whitehorse, Yukon that was incorporated in 2015. Jackleg Films co-produced Sovereign Soil; a feature length documentary about growing local food north of 64 degrees with the National Film Board of Canada which was released in 2019.
The company director of Jackleg Films is filmmaker, Andrew Connors, who has 20+ experience writing, directing and producing films for broadcast and distribution. Andrew’s production credits include: Facing Miles Canyon, an artist profile for Bravo! Television, Shipyards Lament, a social documentary produced for CBC Newsworld and The Grubstake Remix, a performing arts silent film hybrid feature film that was released in 2016 by Northern Town Films.
Current Productions: The Ballad of Caveman Bill (documentary in release), Yukon River Salmon: Managing to Zero (documentary in development with NFB) and Landed (documentary in development with NFB).
