Snapshot Studios Inc.
About us
Everyone at Snapshot Studios loves a good story, whether it’s presented through its award-winning documentary content, ground breaking immersive media projects, or emotive branded content. Laura O’Grady founded the company in 2018, seeking to elevate marginalized voices and expand female entrepreneurship in the documentary, factual, and multimedia space. Snapshot hit the ground running in 2018, providing production management services for Fort Edmonton/Hidden Story’s Indigenous Peoples Experience , an international-award winning (2021 THEA Award) 14,000 square metre immersive media exhibit. Over the past six years Snapshot has produced award winning documentary series, feature films, branded content and shorts.
Snapshot is now in development on a women’s health documentary series with style icon Stacy London and in pre-production on an immersive media exhibit with Canadian Women for Women in Afghanistan. The accompanying BTS feature documentary: Thunder of Clouds: What Women Can Do has also entered production. Laura O'Grady is a proud member of the first cohort of the Banff Spark Accelerator for Women in the Business of Media, and a former board member of the Alberta Media Production Industries Association.
