About us

Ruby Line Productions, helmed by Annette Clarke, is a St. John’s based independent media company dedicated to place specific stories exploring universal themes.
Clarke produced, executive produced and co-produced 100+ films with some of Canada’s leading directors and nurtured the careers of numerous emerging filmmakers during her highly successful National Film Board of Canada career from 2003-2022. Her documentary, animation, experimental and interactive productions have garnered awards and screened at Sundance, TIFF, IDFA, CPH: DOX, Hot Docs, the Berlinale, and many other festivals around the globe the globe.
Recent credits include the viral sensation, How to Be At Home, a pandemic-themed animation that made the TIFF Top Ten list; the multi award-winning feature Love, Scott that follows the healing journey of a young gay musician after a violent homophobic attack; and the multi award-winning feature Dear Audrey, a poignant love story spanning decades and witnessing a man caring for his wife in her declining years of life with Alzheimer’s; and Far Away From Far Away, the Fogo Island story and NFB’s first long-form interactive experience created exclusively for mobile devices.
