About us
Ann Bernier is a seasoned independent producer with over 30 years of experience in the Canadian screen industry. She has worked on a wide range of feature films and documentaries, including The Wild Dogs, Folle Embellie, and The Mill for CBC. Bernier has collaborated with renowned filmmakers such as Donna Davies and John Walker, producing notable works like Assholes: A Theory and Quebec My Country Mon Pays.
Currently, Ann is producing Swiss/Canadian feature film 111 and documentary Dad Bods, both in post-production. She produced Sullivan’s Crossing Season II (2023) and documentary series Half Speed and Wild Spaces. Her past work includes Damage Done: The Drug War Odyssey (2006) and The Wild Dogs (2002), earning her critical acclaim and multiple nominations at the Canadian Screen Awards and festivals around the world.
In addition to her production work, Ann dedicates time to mentoring emerging filmmakers. As a producer mentor, she shares her expertise to help up-and-coming talent navigate the industry. Ann is an active member of several professional organizations, including the CMPA, Screen Nova Scotia, and the Documentary Organization of Canada. She also serves on the Board of Directors for the Atlantic International Film Festival and CMPA.
With her passion for storytelling and commitment to nurturing new talent, Ann continues to be a leading figure in Canada.
