Vanessa Piazza-President and Founder of Piazza Entertainment,
Executive Producer, Lost Girl, Dark Matter, Nurses, XIII, The Other Half

Named by Hollywood Reporter as one of North America’s top 30 executives, and highlighted in the Globe and Mail TIFF Edition for her film and television success, Vanessa Piazza has years of creative and financial producing experience. She has forged an extensive network of domestic and international connections, starting with her work on the international miniseries XIII, which later became a two-season television series. The series was a Canada-France co-production involving Canal+, M6, Showcase, and NBC.

Piazza developed and executive produced the ground breaking supernatural series Lost Girl (Showcase/Sony/Syfy/Netflix) which remains a huge franchise with a cult following. Piazza also led the multi-platform campaign for Lost Girl, moderating SDCC and other Comic Con panels and also produced the live audience Specials of the series. The television series ran for six seasons.

Based off the Graphic novel of the same name, Piazza developed and executive produced the successful sci-fi series Dark Matter (NBCU/Syfy/Space/Netflix). The series ran for three seasons and was among Syfy’s highest rated programs.

In addition to her television credits, Piazza executive produced the feature film, The Other Half, starring Tatiana Maslany.
