About us
Canadian production company, Cedar Island Films was founded by accomplished producers Andrew Williamson and Henrik Meyer to produce documentaries, series and feature films with a focus on international co-productions.
Cedar Island’s latest feature doc, THE MAGNITUDE OF ALL THINGS (NFB/TELUS/TELEFILM) by Jennifer Abbott (The Corporation) opened at VIFF 2020, won Best Canadian Feature Award at Planet in Focus, screened at RIDM and IDFA 2020. Doc Weekly called it “one of the Top 10 documentaries coming out in 2021”.
Cedar Island co-produced THE SEARCH, a feature doc for CBC and the Canadian/German feature doc THE WHALE AND THE RAVEN (ZDF/ARTE/NFB). The “majestic and introspective” film (POV Magazine) opened DOK.fest Munich, won the WIFTV Artistic Merit Award at VIFF 2019 and is on Amazon Prime Video.
