About us
Formed in 2020 by Andy Marshall, Mahaica Point Media Inc. is a production company focused on producing inspirational and influential works of art in film and television. Based in Toronto, MPM has several film and television projects in various stages of development. Its first feature film, A Tribe Called Love, is supported by Telefilm and will shoot October 2023.
The name pays homage to Andy’s early years. Born in Trinidad and Tobago, Andy’s family lived in the peaceful neighborhood of Mahaica, in the bustling southern town of Point Fortin. A cultural hotspot, Point Fortin has produced important calypsonians and hosts a popular week-long festival called Borough Week.
