About us
Nomadic Pictures was established in the fall of 1995 by Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev who shared a dream to make movies and television that entertain global audiences.
Chad Oakes and Mike Frislev have seen their dream grow as an independent production company to more than fifty productions and many accolades, including 21 EMMY Nominations and seven EMMY wins, including Best Movie of the Week (The Incredible Mrs. Ritchie)and Best Mini-Series (Broken Trail) for the Nomadic partners. Nomadic Pictures has worked with outstanding international and Canadian talent on both sides of the camera, including Robert Duvall, Walter Hill, Sean Penn, Jack Palance, Robert Downey Jr., Jason Priestley Kris Kristofferson, Colm Feore, Dwight Yoakam, Kim Basinger, Mila Kunis, Thomas Haden Church, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Alyssa Milano, Malcolm McDowell and Heather Locklear, just to name a few.
The future looks bright for Nomadic with the recent announcement of AMC's third full-season order for Hell on Wheels, which Nomadic will co-produce with Entertainment One.
