About us
Good Influence Films is a content driven media company dedicated to bringing unique voices and stories to the world.
Good Influence Films was founded in 2016, by Canadian producer, JoAnne Fishburn who brings 20 years of experience working on scripted and documentary features and series, as well as podcasts. She also lived and worked in the UK for 9 years where she worked with a film financing company, and was a co-production executive on six international co-productions, and gained experience in impact producing.
In 2017, as a response to the Truth and Reconciliation Calls to Action, Good Influence Films spearheaded the Indigenous 150+ initiative, a film and conversation series which has evolved into a media training initiative for Indigenous young people.
Good Influence Films provides a variety of services including impact producing, impact consulting, and has a slate of projects in development including a limited series based on Whit Fraser’s memoire, “True North Rising”, two features with Anishinaabe-Vietnamese filmmaker, Jerry Wolf, and a feature with Turkish filmmaker and video artist, Yeşim Tabak.
