About us
Thomas Michael founded Fella Films, and since 2005, the company has produced five feature films: Greg and Gentillon (Winner - DISCOVERY AWARD - 2005 Calgary Int’l Film Festival), released in Canada by Alliance Films; Hank and Mike, starring Joe Mantegna and Chris Klein (KARLOVY VARY INT’L FILM FESTIVAL), released theatrically by Magnolia Pictures in the U.S. and in Canada by eONE; Running Mates (Winner - BEST COMEDY at the Seattle True Independent Film Festival and nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award for BEST WRITING), starring legendary icon Henry Winkler; Backcountry (World premiere - 2014 TORONTO INT’L FILM FESTIVAL, SITGES, PALM SPRINGS, WHISTLER). Backcountry was released theatrically in the US by IFC Midnight, becoming their top performing film of 2015. Fella Films recently completed principal photography on thriller, Nowhere and has two more films slated for production in 2019/2020.
