Founding and Vision
This Naija Girl Studios was founded in 2018 by Angela Onuora, an award-winning and passionate filmmaker, and multi-talented storyteller who envisioned a fresh approach to Canadian storytelling. Based in Kitchener, Ontario, the company aims to widen the Canadian film horizon by telling uniquely African-North American stories born from lived and shared experiences that resonate with immigrant audiences worldwide.
Founders
Angela Onuora: A visionary writer, director and producer with an impressive background in independent film, radio, theater and film acting, writing and media education social enterprise. Angela has directed several short and feature films and brings a unique narrative style to the company.
