About us
Dog-eared productions is an independent film production company founded by Penny Eizenga committed to supporting more women both behind and in front of the camera.
Penny wrote, produced 4 award winning shorts; Margaret Finds Her Mojo, Wilderness, The Run and Gordon Pinsent's Martin'a Hagge.
The Run, is her first foray into directing, winning an Award of Merit with the Best Shorts Competition in La Jolla, CA. The film screened at the Blue Stocking Film Series in Portland, Maine, Raindance Canada’s Indie Fest, Long Beach Indie International Film Festival and the LA Femme Film Festival.
Dog-Eared has produced over 15 concept television pilots in collaboration with The Incubator Studio and created several videos, short film trailers and a web-based pilot called Grateful Tails, as well as producing a 21-episode web series called The Giant Comes Out, which screened at the LA Comedy Fest.
The feature film, Go Fish, was produced in 2015 with award winning director/writer Brett Heard.
Dog-Eared is currently developing two feature film scripts.
