About us

Dan Slater is a Toronto based director/producer responsible for The Family, which had its world premiere at the Busan International Film Festival in 2021. Dan has been recognized for his film work globally winning multiple awards for The Family, including Best Feature at both Macabro and Ignite Film Festival. He has currently partnered with Wildling Pictures, Hawkeye Pictures and West Film to produce a feature length documentary titled “Skinnamarink Forever, the Untold and Heartwarming Story of Sharon, Lois & Bram” set to release in 2025 on Crave in Canada, and has partnered with Black Fawn Distro to produce “The Undertone” a deeply unsettling psychological thriller written and directed by Ian Tuason. He is also the recipient of the Irving Avrich Awards for emerging filmmakers at 2014's TIFF for his short film, “Fin”, a dark comedy about mental illness.

Dan has also worked on a variety of short form content including the L’Oréal “Woman of Worth” series, which highlighted women who have made an impact in their communities across Canada, as well as dozens of music videos for Canadian artists including, MONOWHALES, Birds of Bellwoods and Dahlia, the former being awarded Best Indie Music Video at the 2017 Indie Music Awards for “Real Love”.
