Goznot Matchen Cine Corp.

About us

Goznot Matchen Cine Corp. Inc. was officially incorporated in July of 2023, though its origins extend back to the 1980s, when co-founder Paul DiStefano began making short films on super-8.

In 1992, he met Andrew Marley-Clarke / Nagy, then a recent graduate of Vancouver Film School, kick-starting on-set production contracts in Vancouver's film and commercial production industry, while also working as an actor for hire.

They worked together in 1994 on Paul's first feature film, "Trouble" which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 1996. Paul went on to make another feature film in 2000, "Soul Suitcase", shortlisted for Cannes and Berlin; followed by two feature documentary films,
"S-days in August", and "619 226", which premiered at the Calgary International Film Festival.

Andrew continued working in production over the following years, as well as studying film acting under Mark Brandon's Master Class. He went on to secure minor acting roles for a time in film and commercials before pursuing a key marketing position in a pivotal technology start-up, leading to an acquisition and re-location to Boston, MA USA.

After 18 years set aside to raise children for one partner, and the other recovering from volatile market transitions, Paul and Andrew reunited and began shooting short films in 2023. After successful grant applications, they continue to produce in AB
