About us
Visitor Media works with storytellers to produce film, television, digital media and audio projects. We centre the artist’s vision. We tell stories that envision a more creative, interdependent world. We actively reduce harm and fight oppression in all of our practices and projects. And we believe that stories shape the future.
Visitor was founded by Sean O'Neill, who created, produced and hosted the primetime CBC arts documentary series In the Making. The Canadian Screen Award-winning series was named among the year's best by NOW Magazine upon its debut, and screened at MoMA PS1, the National Gallery of Canada, and other venues nationally. Prior to In the Making, Sean served as the first Director of Public Programming & Cultural Partnerships at the Art Gallery of Ontario.
Visitor Media's slate is focused on supporting visionary artists in the creation of innovative, singular projects across multiple formats, including: documentary series and features; scripted series and features; and digital series.
