Berlinale Co-Production Market – Producers Without Borders
Deadline: November 24, 2023
Applications for the Telefilm Canada’s Visitor Programme at the Berlinale Co-Production Market, Producers without Borders, are open for producers present in Berlin, representing a production company, interested in international co-production (with no previous experience), and with a project ready for the 2024 Berlinale Co-Production Market. Telefilm will select up to 10 applicants to participate in this initiative.
The Indigenous Screen Office (ISO) will also select up to 3 participants. To learn more, please visit their website.
For 2024, the Co-Production Market will take place from Saturday to Wednesday, February 17-21, 2024 and is planned as an onsite event with additional online options.
Created in 2004, the Berlinale Co-Production Market is a five-day event within the European Film Market (EFM), a “must do” event for the international film industry. Every year, international producers, financiers, sales agents, distributors, representatives of funding bodies and TV channels from all over the world, and their representatives will have the opportunity to meet and participate in a variety of programme offers.
Decision-making will be based on qualitative information in order to select the projects with the best potential to eventually (i) be produced as international treaty co-productions between Canada and other foreign countries, and/or (ii) be sold in international markets.
