Telefilm Canada is currently accepting entries of feature-length narratives and documentaries with a world premiere status on behalf of the Berlinale’s next edition. Telefilm Canada will organize a private screening session for the Berlinale’s new co-director of film programming. The screenings will be host in a private theatre from September 11-13,with the festival delegate who will travel to Montreal.
The Berlinale, along with Cannes and Venice, counts as one of the oldest and most important competitive festivals in the world. It is one of the largest public film festivals in the world, with more than 240 films and 320 000 screening tickets sold in 2024. The last edition attracted 17 000 professionals from 157 countries, as well as 2 600 journalists, attended the festival.
