The CMPA has partnered with Screen Producers Ireland (SPI) to bring a delegation of Canadian producers to Ireland in July 2025. This initiative aims to foster co-production opportunities between Canadian and Irish producers, and will begin with programming in Dublin, followed by participation in the Galway Film Fleadh (festival).

Ideal candidates

This initiative is suited for CMPA members seeking to establish co-production opportunities and explore financing opportunities with Irish partners.

Due to high demand and limited spots available, consideration will be given to delegates committed to participating in the full suite of planned programming. 

Program plan

Below is a tentative program outline to help members assess their interest in applying for this initiative. Please note the program is subject to change. 

July 7-8: Dublin, Ireland 

The delegation will arrive in Dublin on July 7 to attend a welcome evening reception. On July 8, the CMPA will partner with Screen Producers Ireland (SPI) to organize a full day of panels, information sessions and B2B meetings, followed by a reception hosted by SPI. The full-day program will provide ample opportunities for networking and collaboration.

July 9-13: Galway, Ireland

In advance of travel to Galway, the delegation will participate in site visits and/or meetings with key Irish production studios. Producers will arrive in Galway on the evening of July 9. Over the remaining dates, participating producers will participate in a range of networking events, meetings, and festival programming, including a ‘Meet the Canadians’ event. 

Financial assistance

Up to C$2,500 will be provided to help offset travel and accommodation expenses. The CMPA is also working with partners to secure additional funding to help offset costs for members; more details will be shared on these efforts as they become available.

Apply by May 16, 2025.

Selected candidates will be notified the week of May 26.
