The Directors Guild of Canada (DGC) Standard Agreement establishes the terms, conditions and rates for a number of production categories including, but not limited to, directors, production managers, assistant directors, editors and location department personnel engaged on productions in Canada, excluding British Columbia and Quebec. The DGC Standard Agreement contains a Directors Schedule in addition to District Council Schedules that establish specific terms and conditions for Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario and Atlantic Canada, and a Core Agreement that applies to all District Councils.
The current DGC Standard Agreement is in effect from January 1, 2016 – December 31, 2018, and applies to all productions that commence principal photography on or after January 1, 2016.

As of October 1, 2016, the minimum hourly wage in the province of Alberta will rise to $12.20. Further increases are scheduled for October 1, 2017 and October 1, 2018. The new Wage Rates in effect as of October 1, 2016 can be found here.
