Deanna Cadette is a seasoned media professional, dedicated to developing talent and building an inclusive industry through strategic relationships and innovative programs.
She serves as the Executive Director of WarnerMedia’s Global Access Programs – Canada which aims to build talent pipelines and opportunities between the company, and Canadian creators and crew from underrepresented communities.
Her career in entertainment spans a breadth of roles and disciplines. As an equity and inclusion professional, she managed corporate and employee initiatives with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s Engagement and Inclusion unit.
As director of the former Writers Guild of Canada/Bell Media Diverse Screenwriters Program, Deanna oversaw the operations of this highly successful initiative which led to increased hiring opportunities for TV writers from underrepresented groups.
As the WGC’s cultural policy analyst, Deanna built evidence-based research to inform and advise on key domestic and international issues, trends and regulatory developments in the entertainment sector.
Through her proud start as a camera assistant with the Cinematographers’ Guild (I.A.T.S.E. Local 677), Deanna served the organization as a member of its Executive Board and Camera Trainee Committee.
Deanna’s professional experience is supported by an MA in Public Policy, a BA in Journalism & Film Studies and a Certificate in Project Management.
