NBCUniversal International Studios | VP, Scripted Programming

Amal Baggar joined NBCU International Studios as VP of Scripted Programming in August of 2018.  In that role, she primarily oversees the development, production and sales of their Australian and Canadian content, in addition to seeking and securing global IP.

Baggar joined NBCU from Screen Queensland (Australia) where she held the position of VP of Content.  While at Screen Queensland, Baggar oversaw the development budget for all scripted and unscripted TV series, films, and documentaries.

Prior to Screen Queensland, she was based in Los Angeles where she worked for Ridley Scott’s Scott Free Productions for eight years as both VP and Creative Executive overseeing feature film development and production.  Baggar’s credits include Sony’s Concussion, starring Will Smith, which she co-produced.

Upon graduating Syracuse University, she worked for Creative Artists Agency in LA as the Executive Assistant to motion picture literary agents, Tory Metzger and Maha Dakhil.
