CMPA’s 2020 Indiescreen Awards postponed due to COVID-19

TORONTO, July 22, 2020 – Today, the Canadian Media Producers Association made the following statement regarding the 2020 Indiescreen Awards:

“In light of the ongoing public health crisis and the fact that many Canadian film festivals have had to cancel or scale back their offerings, the CMPA has made the difficult decision to postpone the 2020 Indiescreen Awards, which were planned to take place in September.

In assessing how and when we can bring back the Indiescreen Awards, we are committed to finding a solution that will celebrate the best in Canadian feature film, and shine a spotlight on the independent producers who bring these projects to life.”
