CMPA partners with C21Media on Prime Time in Ottawa

Agreement jump starts Prime Time’s 25th anniversary and promises to elevate the conference’s global program offering

OTTAWA, June 25, 2019—The Canadian Media Producers Association today announced that it has entered into a multi-year partnership with C21 to produce its annual conference, Prime Time in Ottawa. C21Media’s Canadian division, Content Canada, will produce the conference and draw upon its global network to bring the production industry’s brightest minds and leading innovators to Canada in early 2020. This year’s conference will take place from January 29 to 31 in Ottawa, and marks the 25th anniversary of the CMPA’s flagship industry event.

“Over the past quarter-century, Prime Time has evolved from a small policy conference into a global media event with a distinctly Canadian perspective,” said CMPA President and CEO Reynolds Mastin. “C21 is an internationally-renowned organization with a proven track record of producing exceptional conferences such as Content London and Content LA, and we are thrilled to partner with them as we celebrate Prime Time’s 25th anniversary.”

Under the supervision of the CMPA’s Vice-President of Communications and Marketing Andrew Addison, C21’s Canadian division Content Canada, led by CEO Ferne Cohen, will program the conference and manage sponsorship sales with support from an international team based in C21’s London headquarters.

“Over the past 25 years, the CMPA has built Prime Time into a must-attend event for industry leaders and decision makers from across Canada’s media production sector,” commented Cohen. “Content Canada is proud to contribute to the growth of this exceptional event, and on the eve of this milestone year, we look forward to delivering a phenomenal, cutting-edge program in 2020.”

“Our partnership with C21 will ensure that we maintain our conference’s signature brand and high standards, while continuing to build out its international profile,” added Addison. “Prime Time 2020 promises to be bigger and better than ever.”
