CMPA and C21Media renew partnership for virtual edition of Prime Time 2021

Prime Time Online will take place from January 28 to February 10, 2021

OTTAWA, October 27, 2020 – Today, the Canadian Media Producers Association announced that the 2021 edition of Prime Time, its annual flagship conference, will be held virtually, in response to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The CMPA is once again proudly partnering with C21Media and its Canadian division, Content Canada, to produce the conference. The event, renamed Prime Time Online, will launch on January 28, 2021, and run over the following two weeks.

“Although COVID has made it impossible for the media production community to make its annual pilgrimage to Ottawa for Prime Time, we’re excited about the scope of what’s planned for our very first digital event,” said Andrew Addison, the CMPA’s Vice-President, Communications, Marketing & Membership, and the conference’s lead producer. “Leveraging C21’s unparalleled international profile and its robust online platform and tools, we plan to deliver the high-calibre event that attendees have come to expect of Prime Time.”

Prime Time Online will include thought-provoking panels and keynotes, buyer briefings and one-on-one pitching sessions, as well as profile-building opportunities and enhanced networking offerings for industry leaders from across Canada and the world.

“We are proud to be partnering again with the CMPA to produce this year’s Prime Time, and excited to present a reimagined virtual event to the industry,” said Ferne Cohen, CEO of Content Canada. “Now more than ever it’s vital that the production community is brought together, and through this great partnership we will be able to offer an exciting and comprehensive program with important thought leadership, exclusive networking and innovative branding opportunities.”

More details about Prime Time Online, including the registration launch, will be announced in the coming days.
