David Malysheff brings more than 30 years of extensive television production experience in film and broadcast television. During this time, he acted as both Director of Photography and Director on hundreds of projects for both broadcast, and non-broadcast.
During much of that time, David has been working with First Nations People to help interpret and tell their story for 25 years. He was Director Of Photography on the award-winning film “Kuper Island; Return To the Healing Circle”, for CBC National, in addition to a plethora of other notable achievements, and is currently in production on a 25-year follow-up film.
David served as Director Of Photography for two seasons on the APTN show “Tribal Police Files” http://www.tribalpolicefiles.com/season2/, and he worked as a Camera Operator for four seasons on the popular APTN show, “Moosemeat and Marmalade”:
Malysheff was recently DOP on the short film “Leave it on the Water”, with the Penalakut Tribe http://leaveitonthewater.com/; worked as DP, specifically on two series, “A Family Tree Narrative” and “Forgotten Legacy; Spirit Of Reclamation”;
David Directed the 1-hour History Television documentary starring Harrison Ford entitled, “The Immortal Beaver”, chronicling the history and evolution of the De Havilland Beaver airplane.
Davis currently in production on a feature length documentary with Canadian Music Legend Randy Bachman, and his Son, Tal Bachman.
