Blue Moon Communications

About us

Blue Moon Communications, founded by industry veteran Kim Yu, has evolved from a boutique publicity and marketing agency into a full-service production company working predominantly in Ontario. With over two decades of experience in production, Kim has led Blue Moon through a variety of projects in different genres and budget levels. She has production-supervised projects for HBO and Showtime through her work with Equinoxe Films. She has also produced television series for TMN and Superchannel and recently, produced a slate of MoWs for Fox Entertainment's Tubi streaming service. Some of her past LP and PM credits include television series like Apple TV's "Jane" and CBC's "Pretty Hard Cases" as well as indie feature films such as the South African-Canadian co-production "Love Jacked" and "The Swearing Jar," which premiered at TIFF 2022. Currently, she is producing the independent feature "Finch and Midland".

Blue Moon Communications is pivoting from television to focus on theatrical production, bringing the same level of creativity and production expertise to the big screen. Committed to excellence and community engagement, the company also supports local charities through initiatives like "The Clothes Off Our Racks," redistributing wardrobe items to those in need.
