Banana-Moon Sky Films is a Toronto-based company run by Jonas Chernick. Their first film, "My Awkward Sexual Adventure" was selected for TIFF’s Top Ten, won audience awards at Calgary and Whistler Film Festivals, won two Canadian Comedy Awards, and was remade in Lithuania, Ukraine and India. Their second film, "Borealis", screened at festivals including Shanghai, Calgary and Vancouver, where it won a Special Jury Award, won two awards at the Canadian Film Fest, and was Opening Night Film of the Brooklyn Film Festival. Their third feature, “James vs His Future Self”, won four awards at Toronto After Dark and was nominated for four Canadian Screen Awards, including Best Original Screenplay and Best Supporting Actor. Their fourth feature film, “Ashgrove”, is currently in post-production and slated for a 2022 release.
