The Italian Contemporary Film Festival (ICFF) invites all producers to take part in the ICFF 2020 – Industry Day, which will feature two core programming strands: Co-Production and Virtual Reality.

Last year Nick Vallelonga and Nicola Piovani attended Industry Day amongst other notable industry luminaries. This year Edoardo Ponti will be joining Cristiano de Florentiis for a special intimate interview about his new movie The Life Ahead featuring his mother Sophia Loren.

Some of the international creators that will attend are:  Italian Producers – Attilio de Razza – Tramp Ltd., Amedeo Bacigalupo and Anna Maria Morelli – Nuvola Film, Carlo Cresto-Dina – Tempesta Film, Luca Barbareschi – Casanova Multi-Media, Piero Crispino – 3Zero2, Alessandro Gatto – Gatto Film, Silvia Giulietti – iFrame, Simone Oppi – Simone Oppi Agency, Andrea Iervolino – AMBI and Luca Gianfrancesco –  Media Content Productions. Italian Directors – Pierluigi Di Lallo, Mimmo Calopresti, Davide Cavuti, Marco Spagnoli, Davide Cavuti and Nick Vallelonga, American Producer.

Alongside them are some of Toronto’s top producers and directors who will also participate: Canadian Producers include: Mile Dale, Nick Ianelli, Peter Gentile, Antonio Alfonso, Paul Tana, Roberto Misovic, Moira Romano, Paul Golini and Ken Cancellara, some of the Canadian Directors are Sergio Navaretta, Sean Cisterna, Giovanni Princigalli, Dale Hildebrand, and Roberto Zorfini.

The Co-Production – Networking session leads into a series of hosted breakout rooms offering a choice of Producing in Italy, Producing in Canada, Producer to Producer and New Media, and will allow participants to move from room to room and participate in any/ all conversations. The following experts, presented by Matteo Picariello, The Italian Trade Commissioner to Canada, will sit on this Panel – Nataline Rodrigues, Director, Original Programming – Rogers, Simone Catania, Co-Founder, Producer – Indyca srl, Francesca Accinelli, Director, Promotion & Communications – Telefilm Canada, Maria Grazia Mattei, Founder & President – MEET, Marinella Montanari, Executive Director – JOBEL Art for Earth and James Fraser, General Manager – CO3 Toronto.

In the VR session – Real Time Virtual Production, presented by David Dexter, Director, SIRT, there will be a discussion and demo, panellists include David Dexter moderator, Gennaro Coppola, Producer and Director – Onemore Pictures, Nicola Sganga, CEO and Founder – Nema FX, Andrea Spagna, Advisor for Marketing and Business development – Istituto Luce Cinecittà, Brendan Taylor, President/ VFX Supervisor – Mavericks VFX, Manuela Cacciamani, Owner, Onemore Pictures and Managing Director – Direct2Brain. Virtual Reality has superseded its original place in gaming and is now an incredible tool for film production. Take 5 Productions and ICFF are partnering to introduce the new Matterport Technology which allows scouting for virtual locations and Industry Day will present the new LED Wall Stage Production Technology. OneMore pictures Nema FX and Cinecittà will give a new insightful picture of what future film set productions will feature in both Canada and Italy.
