Equity, diversity and inclusion: CMPA member consultations

As part of the CMPA’s ongoing commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI), we have engaged a group of consultants comprised of Camille Dundas, Ingrid Wilson and Sophia Ramsay Brown, to lead a series of member listening sessions, and to carry out a survey of members. The goal of these consultations is to help identify systemic barriers for equity-seeking and sovereignty-seeking individuals, and develop strategies to dismantle these barriers, ensuring the CMPA can best equitably represent members and the interests producers within the broader industry.

The sessions will be held via Zoom video and during each session participants will have the chance to speak to EDI topics and answer questions posed by the facilitators. Everyone’s voice will have equal weight within the listening sessions.

To ensure an environment for robust discussion, the number of spaces available in each listening session is limited. As such, while we recognize the importance of intersectionality, in order to allow for broad participation, we ask that members only register for one listening session. Participants in all sessions will be provided ample opportunity to explore and discuss intersectional issues.
