Manager, Media Relations & Communications
Kyle is member of the CMPA’s communications team, which means he gets to spread the word about all the amazing world-class content that’s made in Canada, as well as the talented and innovative independent producers who bring those stories to life on screen.
On a daily basis, Kyle keeps staff and CMPA members informed of the latest news and developments that directly impact the work of independent producers. He is also the main contact person for all media inquiries. In addition, Kyle is the co-creator and contributing editor of the CMPA’s flagship magazine, Indiescreen, as well as one of the primary organizers of Prime Time, the CMPA’s annual conference.
Prior to the CMPA, Kyle worked in the communications, brand and marketing department at CBC Montreal. He also previously worked at the Canadian Museum of History and the Canadian War Museum.
Kyle holds a graduate diploma in communication studies from Concordia University, where he specialized in Canadian media policy. He also has a combined honours BA in music and psychology from Carleton University.
A lifelong obsessive of all things relating to the film and TV industry, one of Kyle’s favourite TV series is Made in Canada. And growing up in Québec with four brothers, C.R.A.Z.Y. has always been one of his favourite films—and the first to personally epitomize the power of seeing your own story (or something like it) reflected on screen.
