Director, BC Industrial Relations and Member Services
Jennifer is part of the Industrial Relations team in the BC office of the CMPA. This means she participates in collective bargaining and advises members on a range of labour-related matters, including agreement interpretation, health and safety, training, and employment best practices.
As a member of BC’s highly collaborative production environment, Jennifer works alongside unions and guilds, provincial offices and other key industry stakeholders to ensure the sustainability of the motion-picture industry. In this pursuit, Jennifer is a proud member of the Motion Picture Community Initiative, Reel Green, Actsafe and the BC Motion Picture Training Society. Jennifer is also responsible for reporting to the BC Branch Council on revenue and statistics, as well as a number of other member-focused projects and events.
Prior to joining the CMPA in 2012, Jennifer worked in labour relations and human resources for a number of private and public firms, including the National Health Service in the UK.
Jennifer holds a BSc in business administration and human resources management from the University of London, and is a Chartered Professional in Human Resources in Canada and the UK.
Jennifer’s favourite Canadian movie is Hard Core Logo. As a big fan of Canadian music, she also loves Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Feist, Basia Bulat, The Tragically Hip, Dan Mangan and Matthew Good.
