Dean joined the Industrial Relations team in early 2018.
Dean provides day-to-day administrative support to the National Industrial Relations department and is based in the CMPA’s Toronto office. He plays a major role in the organization of CMPA’s collective bargaining and is the primary contact for permittee memberships and ACTRA TIP applications.
Prior to the CMPA, Dean worked at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Volunteer and Intern Resources department. In this role, Dean was responsible for recruiting and onboarding thousands of volunteers for the 2017 festival. Before his time at TIFF, Dean was an event assistant at the International Festival of Authors where he helped organize multiple literary events for booklovers.
Dean has an honours BA in Art History from Western University, as well as a post-graduate certificate in Cultural and Heritage Site Management from Centennial College.
Dean loves his speculative fiction, so among his favourite Canadian movies is The Void.
