Canadian Creative Accelerator - 2021

The Canadian Creative Accelerator (CCA) is an initiative of the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service at The Consulate General of Canada in Los Angeles. The initiative aims to increase the scope and global reach of Canadian television, film, music, and new media productions. Specifically geared towards the Los Angeles market, the CCA is aimed at emerging and established companies who are ready for international growth. This second iteration of the CCA will only be open to television production companies that are at least partly owned and/or managed by members of the Canadian Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) community.
BIPOC producers working in unscripted, scripted and / or factual are invited to apply to this initiative comprised of three weeks of half-day sessions spread over three months. This second cohort will begin in January 2021. Throughout the three-month period, successful participants will have a unique opportunity to gain access to some of the industry’s most influential television producers, financiers, distributors and talent in Hollywood. Participants will participate in panels, networking events and one-on-one meetings, amongst other online events. Due to Covid-19, this cohort will be fully virtual. Only those who can commit to the full scope of the program should apply. Applications close at 11:59 pm EST on Sunday November 29th, 2020. All the programming will be in English.
