Thank you for choosing to join the Canadian Media Producers Association (CMPA). We look forward to welcoming you to the Association.

Before beginning the process, please be aware that all new applicants must provide a copy of their Certificate of Incorporation and one (1) reference from the Principal/Officer of the company of a current CMPA member in good standing, or from a Canadian accredited educational institution. Completed reference forms must be received prior to Board approval.

In brief, here is how the application process works:

  1. Complete the online membership application form.
  2. After submission, your application will be reviewed by the CMPA for eligibility.
  3. Once the CMPA has received your reference letter, staff will present your application to the Board for approval. The Board reviews/approves membership applications monthly.
  4. You will be notified of the Board's decision.
  5. If you have been approved you will be asked to provide payment (by credit card or cheque).
  6. Once your payment has been received, we will send your membership number and you will be entitled to take advantage of our many benefits. You will also be included in our Membership Directory, if you have selected that option.

 

Please complete as much of the online form as possible to assist us in gathering the necessary member information. We appreciate you taking the time to do this - the form should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.

If you have been a CMPA member within the last 5 years, please complete a renewal application

 

Please note the CMPA’s membership year runs from April 1 to March 31. Membership fees are NOT pro-rated regardless of when a company joins or renews.
