The Directors Guild of Canada, British Columbia District Council (DGC-BC) Collective Agreement establishes the terms, conditions and rates for a number of production categories including, but not limited to, directors, production managers, assistant directors and location department personnel engaged on productions in British Columbia and the Yukon.  The DGC-BC Collective Agreement is jointly negotiated by the CMPA and the the Canadian Affiliates of the Alliance of Motion Picture and Television Producers (AMPTP).

The 2015-2018 DGC BC Collective Agreement was ratified on March 1, 2015.  The term of the agreement is from April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2018.  New wages rates come into effect on March 28, 2015.

Fees for engaging personnel under the DGC-BC Collective Agreement

CMPA administration fees as per Article 19.9 (a) of the 2009-2012 DGC-BC Collective Agreement are summarized below:

  • If the employer is a member in good standing with the CMPA as of the date of remittance of the administration fee, the employer shall pay to the BC branch of the CMPA a sum equal to one percent (1%) of the employees' gross wages

All administration fees are subject to GST/HST with rates based on the province of production.  The CMPA GST/HST number is 121408322RT.
