Investment banking professional Anne Marie Maduri will teach the thought process involved in building companies that create the value required for sustainable growth and to secure investment.
From the perspective of investment analysis, Maduri will show how to assess your company’s market context to identify the opportunities, strategically evolve your business model looking at each component of operations, and how to prepare an investment quality financial projection.
She will then give an overview of the markets for capital and will discuss the core principles to successfully secure investment for companies at various stages of growth - looking at the categories of investors and what they require. Further, she will outline the basics of other relevant transaction types including strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions.
Workshop participants will also receive private consultation time in order to explore the possibilities for their company on a one-on-one basis.
Anne Marie Maduri is President of Maduri + Associates through which she provides financial advisory services to Digital Media, Entertainment and Enabling Technology companies.
Her experience is in equity analysis and investment banking focused on the digital media sector and its components including software, hardware, entertainment, and telecom companies. Since 1998 she has worked with numerous investment banks, and as an independent advisor and agent.
She advises companies on building sustainable, value maximizing business models, assists with securing investment, and with executing on transactions including strategic partnerships, and M&A. Her work is sector focused and her clients range from early stage to public companies.
She has an MBA in Finance, and is working on the CFA designation.
Bursaries are intended to cover most, but not all, of the travel costs for attendees from production companies based outside Ontario. The amount of the bursary is determined by the province of departure, and is paid after your attendance at both days of the workshop. Transportation receipts to prove the province of departure must be provided.
