UK (London) and Ireland (Dublin)
November 24 – December 4, 2015
Up to 14 feature film and television drama producers will be invited to join a Canadian producer and industry partner delegation travelling to the UK (London) and Ireland (Dublin) from November 24 – December 4, 2015 (inclusive of travel days). The purpose of this initiative is to create co-production, financing and sales opportunities for Canadian drama producers.
The CMPA, with the support of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development and in partnership with Canada Media Fund, Creative BC, Creative Saskatchewan, Manitoba Film & Music, Newfoundland and Labrador Film Development Corporation, Nova Scotia Business Inc., On Screen Manitoba, Ontario Media Development Corporation, Société de développement des entreprises culturelles (SODEC) and Telefilm Canada, will organize delegation-specific meetings, networking events and panel discussions in London and Dublin with UK and Irish producers, financiers and buyers. The meetings, events and panels are intended to focus on the development of current projects with a view to co-production, financing and sales, and on sharing market intelligence.
The delegation will also attend C21’s International Drama Summit while in London.
Financial assistance of $2,000 CDN or 50% of real costs (whichever amount is less) will be available to help offset a portion of travel and accommodation expenses.
A partner-based selection committee will assess all Statements of Interest using the following criteria:
Producers selected for the delegation will be notified the week of September 7, 2015.
