Warren Ross provides strategic, legal and operational oversight of labour relations within the film, television and digital media industry.  In his role, he is responsible for the direction and management of the CMPA’s national industrial relations department.  He is the chief spokesperson for independent producers and the Hollywood studios in national labour negotiations with the industry’s unions and guilds, which represent writers, directors, performers and technicians. He also represents the CMPA and its members in legal disputes including grievances, arbitrations and labour board proceedings.  In addition, Warren plays a leadership role in the advancement of key labour, employment and immigration-related legislative priorities on behalf of the CMPA’s members with federal and provincial governments.

Prior to joining the CMPA, Warren worked as a lawyer for one of Canada’s leading labour and employment law firms, where he focused on the representation of employers. Prior to this, Warren spent a year as a judicial law clerk at the Federal Court of Canada.  Warren obtained his Juris Doctor Law Degree from the University of Windsor and holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Degree in Media, Information and Technoculture from Western University.
